Mariana Avilés
Tax & Legal Assistant
A bilingual eighth-semester Law student at the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC), she ranks in the top 10% of her class and is an honors scholarship recipient. She is noted for her proactivity, commitment to learning, and ability to work effectively within a team.
Her interest in Tax Law is evidenced by her involvement in the Events division of the UPC’s Tax Studies Group (GET) and her role as a teaching assistant for the Tax Planning course at the same university—experiences that have strengthened her professional development and her engagement with research and academia.
At the firm, she assists with tax advisory services, contract drafting, and support for contentious proceedings. In these capacities, she contributes to the analysis of tax contingencies and the development of legal solutions designed to protect clients’ interests, applying technical rigor, practical judgment, and a keen attention to detail.
